theUprising is a program exclusively for students in Grades 6, 7 and 8. It’s designed from the ground up to be a relevant and exciting community for junior high students to explore what it means to be a human being, as we tackle the big questions of life, faith and personhood.

And there’s slime. (Well, sometimes anyways). We believe in pushing the limits in the fun department, so you can always expect to see crazy events like “The Great Pirate Treasure Hunt” (we buried about 50 lbs of candy on our church property, and gave students some clues and a shovel…), as well as “SlimeWars”, offsite trips to Canada’s Wonderland, and overnight events like MOMENTUM: Junior High Convention… we do these in addition to our weekly program which we usually hold on Wednesdays at our Church (Faith Tabernacle).

If you’re a parent, and the idea of 100 junior highers running around somewhere makes you nervous, don’t worry - we’ve got your back.

When Does The Shindig Start?

Our weekly program is Wednesdays at 7pm, but there are exceptions… your best plan is to check your newsletter or our calendar for when and where we are meeting (for example, we may cancel our Wednesday meeting to join the Senior High group on a trip to LazerQuest or something).
